CFHC is a nonprofit women’s health center specializing in well-woman gynecological care and abortion.
Abortion Services: Surgical abortion (vacuum aspiration) between 6 and 14.6 gestational weeks. Medical abortion (abortion-by-pill with medications Mifeprex and misoprostol) 5-8 gestational weeks.
GYN Services: Well-woman annual exams, pelvic exams, ultrasound for gestational dating, breast exams and instruction in self breast exam, referral for mammography, pap tests, free urine pregnancy tests, blood tests (cholesterol/lipid profile, hormone profile, anemia, glucose, etc.), sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing (chlamydia, gonorrhea, HPV (human papilloma virus or warts), syphilis, herpes, vaccinations (Gardasil, Hepatitis B, flu, etc.) HIV testing (for women and men), tests and treatment for bacterial vaginosis (BV), candida (yeast infection) trichinosis, school or employment physicals, tuberculin sensitivity testing (PPD or Mantoux test), support for peri-menopause and menopausal concerns, contraceptive counseling and methods (including IUD and Implanon insertions and removals and diaphragm and cervical cap fittings), endometrial biopsies .
In devices and medications offerd in office for a fee: Mirena IUD, ParaGard IUD, Prentif Cervical Cap, Implanon, Depo Provera (the shot), the Today Sponge.
Free samples at CFHC: Nuva Ring, Ortho Evra (the patch), oral contraceptives such as: Ortho Tricylen-Lo, Seasonique & Lybrel (continuous dosing pills), Estrostep, Yaz, Yazmin, Mircette, FemCon Fe (chewable pill with iron), Valtrex for treatment of herpes.
Prescriptions available for Plan B (the morning after pill) as well as other name brand contraceptives and generics.
Free Counseling Services: Non-judgmental, non-biased and compassionate counseling services for: pregnancy options, pre and post abortion, birth control and pre and post HIV testing.
Other Services: Therapeutic massage for women; free outreach to community groups and schools speakers available to provide information and education on a variety of women’s health related topics and feminist issues;
Referral provided for counseling services, abnormal pap follow-up (colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP procedure), prenatal care, midwives, adoption services, naturopathic care, smoking cessation, eating disorders, GLTBQ support groups, domestic and sexual assault support, social services, etc.
