Concord Feminist Health Center upholds a long-standing commitment to making high-quality abortion and gynecological services accessible and affordable to all women.   Free services include pregnancy tests, birth control counseling and samples (pills, patches, rings, condoms, etc.), and pregnancy options counseling.

Both medical and surgical abortion services are covered under many major insurance plans.  CFHC accepts Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna and Harvard Pilgrim.  We also accept some local university and college health plans.  Give us a call with your insurance information and we’ll be glad to help by calling the company to verify your abortion benefits for you.

[Please note: New Hampshire Medicaid will not cover any abortion-related service in NH except in very rare circumstances]

For those without insurance (or for those who have insurance but find that abortion is not a covered benefit under their plan) fees are calculated on a “sliding scale” based on income and number of dependants.  Payment is expected at the time of service.  We accept cashier’s checks, money orders, VISA and MasterCard (debit or credit). 

We know that some women experience great difficulty obtaining the full fee for an abortion.  If you are struggling and concerned about how to pay for your care, please give us a call and our receptionists can help you problem-solve.  For those who qualify, CFHC has an internal “women-in-need” fund (The Joan Fund) and may be able to offer you assistance in the form of a payment plan, discounted fee and/or referrals to other abortion loan funds.
